Joe
Marino, 58, a lifelong resident of Saugerties has a wide
pallet of attributes .He lives in Saugerties with his
wife Kathy.
He has a daughter... and 3 grand children that also reside
in Saugerties. |

After
graduating from Saugerties High School in 1963 ( where he
was Senior Class President and a member of the National Honor
Society.) Joe attended Siena College where he earned a Bachelor
of Science in Mathematics in 1967. He was also an ROTC Distinguished
Military Graduate
| After
graduation, Joe served in the U.S Army from 1967 to 1971,
attaining the rank of Captain. He spent one year in Viet
Nam and was awarded two Bronze Stars and two Army Commendation
medals |

After
his time in the Army he returned to Saugerties , he worked
8 years for Met Life as a Mortgage Loan Accountant until 1979
and spent the next 14 years of his career as a Financial Analyst
& Planner and Cost Engineer at IBM. After IBM's massive
down-sizing in 1994, Joe opened Marino Pool and Supply of
which he is co-owner.

Joe
turned his long-time interest in thoroughbred racehorses
into a second career when he became
co-owner of JM Stables on Kings Highway in 1987.
Joe is a licensed thoroughbred owner, breeder and trainer,
and a member of the New York State Thoroughbred Breeders
Association. |
In
addition to running two successful businesses, Joe also volunteers
his time and expertise to community service. He is a member
of the Mid Hudson Valley Credit Union Supervisory Committee,
and he recently completed a five year term on the Saugerties
Planning Board, two of them as chairman
